Belinda Visser is a registered Biokineticist, who completed her B.Sc Hons in Biokinetics at the North West University of Potchefstroom. She is also a mom and an athlete herself having done sport most of her life.
She completed the majority of her internship year at the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology in Houghton, treating a wide variety of patients which consisted of sports specific injuries, sports performance, post-operative rehabilitation (hip, shoulder and knee replacements, Rotator cuff repair etc.), general wellness, disease prevention, chronic illnesses (Diabetes Type 1 and 2, Hypertension, Cancer, Stroke, Hypercholesterolemia, osteoporosis, Osteo-Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis), Neurological syndromes, body composition and weight loss and Vitality wellness assessments.
After her year of internship, she started at a private practice in Honeydew where the main focus was sport performance, general health and post-operative rehabilitation. Belinda now owns her own practice in the west rand where her focus and passion is mostly orthopaedic rehabilitation, sport specific injuries and performance, non-specific lower back pain as well as neurological cases. Her additional qualifications include; Hydrotherapy, Leukotaping, Dynamic taping, ACL course, Sports Massaging, Sports and Exercise Nutrition and Bike Fitments.
Belinda ensures athletes are kept injury free through thorough analysis for imbalances and applying strength and conditioning where necessary.
